Terms of Service
Last updated 10 September 2026
These terms cover how your organisation can use klerc, what we promise in return, and what happens when things change. We've kept them as plain as a contract allows.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between Stribe Inc. (“klerc”, “we”) and the organisation that signs up for klerc (“Customer”, “you”). If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to bind it. If we've signed a separate agreement with your organisation, that agreement wins wherever the two differ.
Using klerc means accepting these terms and our Privacy Policy.
The service and early access
klerc is a CRM platform for service businesses — CRM and records, an omnichannel inbox, forms and chatbots, calendars and scheduling, pipelines, tasks and notes, invoices, workflow automation, broadcasts and templates, dashboards and reports, a knowledge base, Molly AI and agents, and a REST API with app integrations — delivered as a hosted service at console.klerc.co.
klerc is in early access. That means:
- The whole platform is free while we onboard early teams.
- Features may change, move or be removed as we build. Some integrations depend on third-party app review and may be unavailable for a time.
- We provide the service with reasonable care, but without uptime commitments or service credits unless we agree them in writing.
- Paid plans will be announced before general availability, with notice to early-access customers before anything is charged. You'll always be free to leave and take your data with you instead.
Accounts and admins
You're responsible for the people you invite and what they do in your workspace. Admins control roles, teams, sharing, field permissions, connected accounts and feature toggles.
Accounts are for individual people — don't share them. Keep sign-in details private, use two-factor sign-in, and tell us promptly at support@klerc.co if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your data
Everything your organisation puts into or connects to klerc — records, conversations, tasks, notes, files, form submissions and the rest (“Customer Data”) — is yours. You give klerc a limited licence to host, process, transmit and display Customer Data only to provide, secure and support the service. In doing so we act as your processor, as the Privacy Policy describes.
You're responsible for having the rights and consents the law requires for the data you bring — including consent to message people through the channels you connect.
You can export your data at any time: records to CSV, with labels or IDs, and everything you've stored through the REST API and SOQL.
Acceptable use
Don't use klerc to:
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, message people who haven't opted in, or get around a platform's messaging limits;
- break the rules of the platforms you connect — including WhatsApp Business and Meta policies on templates and opt-ins, and local messaging regulations such as sender and template registration where they apply;
- store or send unlawful, infringing, deceptive or harmful content, or malware;
- process sensitive or special-category personal data without the protections the law requires;
- probe, scan or break the security of the service, or try to reach another customer's data;
- overload the service, or work around rate limits, scoped tokens or permissions;
- resell klerc, offer it as a competing service, or copy it to build one.
We may remove content or limit features to stop a breach of this section, and we'll tell you when we do unless the law prevents it.
Third-party platforms
klerc connects to services you choose — email, messaging, social-DM, calendar and payments apps among them, plus the other apps available through integrations. Connecting one authorises klerc to access it on your behalf; your use of that platform stays subject to its own terms.
We aren't responsible for third-party platforms or their availability, and their changes to APIs, prices or policies can change what klerc is able to do with them. Charges a platform bills — per-message fees, for example — are yours unless we agree otherwise.
AI features
Molly and AI agents run on the model provider your organisation selects — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or providers through OpenRouter — or on your own API key, in which case your agreement with that provider also applies.
- Output can be wrong. AI answers, drafts and charts can be incomplete or inaccurate; review them before relying on them.
- You stay in control. Every change Molly proposes to your data waits for a person to confirm it, and AI features act within the permissions of the person using them.
- Fair use. During early access, included model usage is subject to fair-use limits.
Fees
There are no fees during early access. When paid plans launch, we'll give you advance notice of prices and terms, and paid use starts only if you choose it. Taxes, where they apply, will be added as the law requires.
Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other's non-public information with at least reasonable care and use it only to perform under these terms. This doesn't cover information that's public, already known, independently developed or lawfully received from someone else — or disclosure the law requires, with notice where allowed.
Intellectual property
The klerc software, design and documentation, and the klerc name and marks, belong to us and our licensors. Apart from the right to use the service under these terms, nothing transfers to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
Suspension, termination and export
You can stop using klerc and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, if the law requires it, or to prevent harm to the service or to others — with notice where that's reasonable. We may also end the early-access programme for everyone, with at least [notice period] notice.
After termination you'll have [export window] to export your data. After that we delete it, as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive — your data, confidentiality, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law — do.
Disclaimers
Apart from what these terms expressly say, klerc is provided “as is” and “as available” — especially during early access. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if told they were possible.
Each party's total liability arising from these terms is limited to [the greater of the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim and [amount]]. These limits don't apply to [breach of confidentiality, indemnity obligations, or liability the law doesn't allow to be limited].
Indemnity
You'll defend and indemnify klerc against third-party claims arising from Customer Data, or from your use of klerc in breach of these terms or the law — including messages you send through connected channels.
We'll defend you against third-party claims that the klerc service, as we provide it, infringes their intellectual property rights, [subject to standard exclusions].
Governing law
These terms are governed by [governing law], and disputes will be resolved in [venue]. [Dispute-resolution process, if any.]
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as klerc changes. For material changes, we'll notify admins in the product or by email at least [notice period] before they take effect. Continuing to use klerc after that means you accept the new terms.
