Molly
The AI assistant inside klerc — answers questions about your data with charts, and acts after you confirm.
Molly is klerc's built-in AI assistant. She knows your objects and fields, runs real queries against your live data, answers with charts and tables, and can take actions for you — creating tasks, updating records, drafting replies — once you confirm.
Asking#
Press ⌘K on any page, or the sparkle icon in the top bar. Molly opens with "Ask me to find data, build a chart, or create something." Ask the way you'd ask a colleague:
- Which renewals are overdue this week? Group them by owner.
- How many claims did we register last month, by insurer?
- Show me leads from digital marketing that nobody has called.
Molly reads your schema, so you never need to know field names or a query language. She shows the tools she used — for example Schema read: Policy Renewal and SOQL query executed: 34 rows in 0.4s — so you can see how she got the answer.
Answers are artifacts#
Molly answers with something you can use, not a paragraph:
- Charts — 57 renderers, switchable between visualisations (bar, funnel, pyramid and more), downloadable and openable in the app;
- Tables of the records behind the answer;
- Files, when you ask for one.
Actions, behind a confirm step#
Molly acts through the same actions as the console and the API — 165 of them across 19 feature areas — and she's bound by your permissions. If you can't see a field, neither can she.
Before anything is written, Molly shows a confirmation card:
Create 34 tasks? One per overdue renewal · assigned to the record owner · due tomorrow. Confirm / Cancel
Nothing changes until you press Confirm.
Models#
klerc is model-agnostic. Your organisation chooses whether Molly runs on OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or anything available through OpenRouter, and can switch at any time. Bring your own key, or use the included models within fair-use limits during early access. Voice notes are transcribed, replies can be read aloud, and Molly can run code in a sandbox to produce charts and files.
Molly and the API#
Every user gets an API token named Molly, listed under Settings → API Tokens. Like every token, it can never do more than its owner is allowed to. See Authentication.
Good questions#
- Name the time window: this week, last quarter, next 30 days.
- Say how to group it: by owner, by insurer, by stage.
- Ask for the next step: …and create a follow-up task for each owner.
