Feature toggles
Switch whole features on or off for your organisation — hidden in the UI and blocked at the API.
Not every team needs every module on day one. Settings → Features lets an admin turn platform features on or off for the whole organisation. Changes save automatically.
What switching a feature off does#
- The feature is hidden from everyone — it disappears from the sidebar and menus.
- It's blocked server-side, so API calls to it are refused too, not just hidden.
- Existing data is kept and comes back as it was when you switch the feature on again.
- Core features are always on and can't be switched off.

When to switch things off#
- Rolling out in stages. Start a team on records, flows and the inbox; switch on workflows and agents once people are comfortable.
- Governance. Keep AI Agents or Integrations off until you've agreed who may configure them.
- Focus. A small practice that doesn't need broadcasts or chatbots gets a simpler sidebar.
Effect on the API#
Calls to a switched-off feature return 403 — the same status as a token without the right scope. The error message tells you which. See Errors and limits.
